Background & External Links
My blog is Decimation & Reconstruction, an ecclectic mishmash of opinions on nearly everything.
I am a layman in the Orthodox Church in America. My membership is with St. Athanasius mission in Nicholasville, KY. I am also a Sailor, a Petty Officer Third Class in the U. S. Navy, currently assigned to USS Jacksonville (SSN 699). I attend services at St. Nicholas Orthodox Church (Greek Archdiocese) most often, but I have been known to pop in to Holy Trinity Orthodox Church, cathedral of the New England diocese (Orthodox Church in America).
I graduated with a degree in Philosophy from Asbury College in Wilmore, KY. After service in the Navy, I plan to continue my schooling, perhaps with seminary, should the Lord smile on such plans.
Resources for OrthodoxWiki Editors
- Protection of the Mother of God Russian Orthodox Church (ROCOR): An excellent site. Their list of saints is exemplary for correctly translating most names into English. Also, online version of Holy Transfiguration Monastery's Septuagint Psalter.
- Blackwell Dictionary of Eastern Christianity ISBN 0631232036
