Dionysius V of Constantinople
His All-Holiness Dionysius V of Constantinople, (Greek: Διονύσιος Ε΄), was the Ecumenical Patriarch of Constantinople from 1887 to 1891.
Life
Little is known of the life of Patr. Dionysius other than a September 1891 newspaper description of the setting of his funeral wherein his body is described as sitting in state before the altar of the Patriarchal Church of the Phanar. In 1889, he had elevated the Diocese of Eleftheroupoleos to a metropolis.
