The Coptic Orthodox Church of Alexandria has many churches in the United Kingdom and Ireland under the jurisdiction of one metropolitan and five bishops.

British Orthodox Church

Coptic Orthodox Diocese of Ireland, Scotland, North East England and its Affiliated Regions

His Grace Antony, Bishop of the Holy Diocese of Ireland, Scotland and North East England, United Kingdom. The diocese was established in 1995.

Coptic Orthodox Diocese of the Midlands and its Affiliated Areas

H.G. Bishop Missael, Bishop of the Holy Diocese of the Midlands, and its Affiliated Areas, U.K.

In Birmingham (Fr. Peter & Fr. John Yanny):

  • St. Mary & St. Mark's Coptic Centre (includes St. Mary & St. Abu-Sefein's Church)
  • St. Mary and St. Antony's Church

In Manchester (Fr. Bishoy):

  • St. Mary & St. Mina's Church

In North Wales (Fr. John Saleeb):

In Nottingham (???):

There are currently 2 rented/temporary churches, one in Northampton and the other in Oxford.

The Diocese is based at the Coptic Orthodox Centre in Lapworth, Birmingham.

South Wales

  • Coptic Orthodox Church in Wales
  • St Mary’s and St Abu Saifain’s Coptic Orthodox Church located at 112 St Mary Street, Risca, South Wales NP11 2GP. This Church is, however, under patriarchal supervision of HH Pope Shenouda III of Alexandria since he is currently the head of the Parish's Council. Accordingly, this Church is supervised by His Grace Angaelos, the General Bishop and Patriarchal Exarch.
