Procopius of Sázava
Our righteous father Procopius of Sázava was a priest and hermit who worked to spread the Christian Faith among the Czech people in Czechia. He was the founder of the monastery dedicated to St. John the Forerunner along the River Sázava in Bohemia, the place where he reposed in the year 1053.
His feast day is celebrated on September 16, the synaxis of the saints of Carpatho-Rus.
