Template:Parish

From OrthodoxWiki
Jump to navigation Jump to search

This template adds an information box to articles about a parish and its church. Put it at the very top of the article. For whole Churches, use Template:Church; for monasteries, use Template:Monastery.

The box has two parts: Parish, for the community and its clergy, and Church, for the building the parish worships in. Every field is optional; rows with no value are not shown, and a part with no values is left out altogether. If name is left out, the page name is used.

Editing this template

Each field is one table row of three lines:

|- style="border-top:1px solid #dcd7c8; vertical-align:top; {{#if:{{{founded|}}}||display:none}}"
! Founded
| {{{founded|}}}

The #if at the end of the first line hides the row when the field is empty. To add a field, copy a row and change the label and the field name in both places. The box's size, border and background are set once, on the first line ({|). Template:Church, Template:Diocese, Template:Parish and Template:Saint use the same layout; keep them matching.
