His Eminence Paul (Ioannou) of Sisanion and Siatista is the Metropolitan of the Metropolis of Sisanion and Siatista under the administration of the Church of Greece. The Metropolis of Sisanion and Siatista is a metropolis in the New Lands of Greece, under the jurisdiction of the Ecumenical Patriarchate. [1]. Metr. Paul has been the ruling hierarch of the metropolis since 2006.

Life

Metropolitan Paul was born in 1947 in Chalkis, on the island of Euboea. After completing his university education he entered the Holy Orders when he was ordained deacon in 1973 with the name Paul, followed as priest in 1974. From 1998, Fr. Paul participated in a number of educational and social organizations including serving as Secretary of the Synodical Committee Christian Education of Youth and on the Synodal Subcommittee on the Olympic Games. He also served as Chairman of the Charitable Foundation "Tasos Georgiades."

Fr. Paul was elected to the episcopate on February 28, 2006 by the Holy Synod of the Church of Greece and consecrated metropolitan of the Metropolis of Sisanion and Siatista March 4, 2006.
