OrthodoxWiki:External links
This page is an official policy on OrthodoxWiki. It has wide acceptance among editors and is considered a standard that all users should follow. If you are part of the administration, please feel free to update this page as needed, but make sure that changes you make to this policy really do reflect OrthodoxWiki's perspective before you make them. |
Occasionally someone raises a concern about needing to ask permission to link to a site. We at OrthodoxWiki understand that it is not necessary to get permission, legally or by net etiquette, to ask or receive permission to link to another site or webpage.
If you ask us to remove a link, OrthodoxWiki may comply. However, we recommend that if you don't want something linked to, you should remove it from the web or password-protect the webpage or information you would like to hide.
Personal information is another matter. Please see OrthodoxWiki:Mediation for our discussion of slander and libel.
