The future bishop was born in Germany on [[September 29]], 1995. Nationality - czech. He completed his schooling in Franfurt-am-Main and then studied at the department of architecture in Darmstadt. In 1979 he entered the brotherhood of St Job of Pochaev in Munchen. He was [[tonsured]] a monk on [[March 29]], 1983. On [[December 25]], 1983 he was ordained [[hierodeacon]] and on [[April 8]], 1991 hieromonk. In 1995 he was elevated to the rank of [[abbot]].
In October 2000, the Synod of Bishops approved the consecration of Abbot Agapit to the episcopate. The consecration took place on [[April 31]], 2001 at the Holy New Martyrs and Confessors of Russia [[cathedral]] in Munchen, Germany. The consecration was performed by [[Laurus (Skurla) of New York|Archbishop Laurus of Syracuse and Holy Trinity]], [[Mark (Arndt) of Berlin|Archbishop Mark of Berlin, Germany and Great Britain]], [[Hillarion Hilarion (Kapral) of Sydney|Archbishop Hillarion Hilarion of Sydney]], [[Evtikhy (Kurochkin) of Ishim|Bishop Evtikhy of Ishim and Siberia]], and [[Ambrose (Cantacuzène) of Geneva|Bishop Ambrose of Geneva]].
Besides his duties as vicar of the German diocese, Bishop Agapit served as vicar to Bishop Ambrose for the administrator for ROCOR parishes in Belgium, the Netherlands, and Luxembourg until 2006.
