==Life==
Panteleimon (Mpezenitis) was born in the island of Chios, a Greek island in the Aegean Sea. After an education in theology including post-graduate studies in France, he entered the [[Holy Orders]]. In 1961, he was [[ordination|ordained]] a [[deacon]] and, in 1963, a [[priest]]. 

Before his election to the episcopate, Father Panteleimon served as director of [[Apostoliki Diakonia]], the official publishing house and [[missionary]] arm of the Church of Greece as well as the warden of its theological hostel. After his election to the episcopate in 1977, he was [[consecration of a bishop|consecrated]] the bishop of Zakynthos in the Ionian Islands on [[September 15]], 1977. In 1994, he was transferred to lead the Metropolis of Attica, at the time said to be Greece's richest [[diocese]].

In early 2005, Metr.
