Name

Out of curiosity: in Russian, the eparchy is called Нижегородская Епархия. It refers to the Nizhegorodskaya Oblast instead of Nizhny Novgorod the city (note the difference: Нижегород[ская], Нижний Новгород), especially now that the eparchy is part of a metropolis. For some reason, the oblast is nonetheless known in English as Nizhny Novgorod Oblast. EGobi (talk) 03:05, June 24, 2021 (UTC)
