A Christian is a person who adheres to Christianity, an Abrahamic, monotheistic religion based on the life and teachings of Jesus of Nazareth. It is in Acts 11:26 that the name Christian was first recorded as applying to the disciples of Jesus of Nazareth.

The term "Christian" is also used as an adjective to describe anything associated with Christianity, or that which is considered noble and good.
