''' Metropoliten Metropolitan Vasilije (Popović)''' (also ''Basil'('; in serbian Serbian Митрополит Василије (Поповић))''' was the second Metropoliten [[Metropolitan]] of Banja Luka (, from 1907-to 1937.{{stub}} ==Life==Vailije (Popovic)was elected as Metropolitan of Banja Luka in 1907 by the [[Holy Synod ]] of the [[Ecumenical Patriarchate elected him for Metropoliten of Banja luka 1907]]. He was orained [[ordination|ordained]] by [[Archbishop ]] Evgenije of Sarajevo and Metropoliten Metropolitan of Dabro-Bosna Evgenije; St. Petar, who was his predccessor at see of Banja Luka, Metropoliten Metropolitan of Hercegovina (and later of Dabro-Bosna) St. Petar, ; and Metropoliten Metropolitan Ilarion of Zvornik-Tuzla (later . Metropolitan Evgenije preceded him as Metropolitan of Vršac) IlarionBanja Luka. He joined to and his flock were accepted into the [[Church of Serbia|Serbian Orthodox Churc Church]] in 1920, with his flock. a move the Ecumenical Patriarch aproved this Patriarchate approved in 1922.Metropoliten Metr. Vasilije died in 1937. His relicts [[relics]] are in Catedral Chuch the [[Cathedral]] of the Holy Trinity in Banja Luka.
