This article is especially timely, given the recent release of the movie The Exorcism of Emily Rose. Please help us develop this into a thorough, balanced and authentically Orthodox article. Fr. John 18:23, 13 Sep 2005 (EDT)

Greetings to all in Jesus Christ Our Savior. This is my first entry on this Wiki. I respectfully question this statement: It should also be noted that the importance of exorcism in Orthodox ecclesiastical life is not as great as it is in both the Roman Catholic and Protestant Churches. Another similarly problematic statement is this one: In recent years certain semi-pagan exorcistic rituals have been practiced by a number of people uncertain as to their religious belonging, including clergymen of the Roman Catholic and Protestant Churches. The reader rightly expects substantiation of these statements later in the text, and finding none, may question the validity of the entire entry. So I question why say it at all. Please, either provide substantiation in the article's main text, or omit the statements altogether.--TDJ 03:04, November 27, 2010 (UTC)

Greetings. The entire paragraph is already set as a blockquote and is already footnoted, the author being Rev. Dr. Nicon D. Patrinacos, a Dean of Holy Cross Orthodox Theological Seminary. Angellight 888 03:17, November 27, 2010 (UTC)
