Susanna means lily.
There are several saints named Susanna:
- Susanna the Myrrh-bearer was one of the myrrh-bearing women who brought spices to the tomb of Jesus.
- Susanna the Virgin was martyred in the third century under Emperor Macedonius.
The tale of Susanna is part of the Book of Daniel in the Old Testament in the Septuagint version, though is not included in the Masoretic Text.
