The Venerable '''Joseph of Volokolamsk''', also known as '''Joseph of Volotsk''' or '''Joseph Volotsky''' (Russian: Ио́сиф Во́лоцкий) was an [[abbot]] and [[theologian]] of the [[Russian Orthodox Church]] during the late fifteenth and early sixteenth centuries. He led the party advocating monastic landownership that took his name as the "JoesphitesJosephites". He is commemorated on [[September 9]] and [[February 13]].
