Communion with The Tomos of Autonomy was definitively suspended by the Holy Synod of Milan Synod ceased on [[April 4]], 2011, and the cessation bishopric of [[communion]] New York was confirmed by suppressed. As with other Old Calendarist jurisdictions, the Metropolia is not in Formal communion with any of the mainstream Orthodox Churches. After the release of an official statement from Milan claiming fraternal relations with Moscow, the Metropolia released a [[clergy]] confession reiterating its rejection of [[ecumenism]], Sergianism, modernism, and the [[New Calendar]]. Communion ceased between the former "Autonomous Orthodox Metropolia of North and South America and of All the Isles " and the [[Holy Synod of Milan Synod ]] on April 4, 2011. The Milan Synod was required to cease communion with churches not in communion with a Patriarchate.
