==Link buttons?==Friends'''If nothing listed below strikes your interest, I'm wondering if anyone might have the talent or be motivated to create here are some nice link buttons for OrthodoxWiki. Also, does anyone have any design other ideas? Thanks! [[User''':FrJohn|Fr. John]]==
==Big project*Add ''richer'' content to [[: Category:Stubs|stub]] pages, lengthen [[Church CalendarSpecial:Shortpages|short]]==Wepages ''that warrant being longer''re reworking the , and help expand [[Church CalendarSpecial:Newpages|new]] system so pages that are just getting started.*''Refine'' the feasts content of the day can be dynamically included on the ''unnecessarily'' [[Special:Longpages|long]] pages and [[Main Page:Category:Articles needing cleanup|clean up]]. pages that ''could possess''All 366 days a higher quality of the calendar need to be worked oncontent.*Help create [[Special:Wantedpages|wanted]] pages that don't currently possess '' Your help would be appreciated! any content'', but are highly relevant to other pages.*Add [[Special:Uncategorizedpages|uncategorized]] pages to relevant categories and link [[Special:Lonelypages|orphaned]] or [[Special:Deadendpages|dead-end]] pages to other articles that possess similar or relevant information.
Here==Matching the DEC==The 's how 'Blackwell Dictionary of Eastern Christianity'' (DEC) is a fantastic resource. A select list has been copied (including the vast majority of articles) onto '''[[OrthodoxWiki:Articles from the DEC|this page]]'''. It is strongly suggested that those looking for something to work on try starting here, as it workswill help to allay systemic bias and make OrthodoxWiki more complete. {{User:ASDamick/sig}}
Each article dedicated to a particular date (e.g., [[February 1]]) is formatted essentially as before, but the feast listing in it is now going to be loaded as a template (e.g., [[Template:February 1]]). So the article for [[February 1]] should look like this:
<pre><nowiki>==FeastsOnline Orthodox Bible Commentary =={{February 1}}An ambitious and massive project, to say the least, but one which could potentially develop into an invaluable resource. [http://orthodoxwiki.org/Online_Orthodox_Bible_Commentary Online Orthodox Bible Commentary]
[[Category:Feasts]]
[[Category:Saints]]</nowiki></pre>
The template== Importing images ==Hello everybody, howeverif you would like to help, is a little more complexwe could definitely use your assistance importing images. It will include a list of the feasts, along with an image. Please always make sure has to include an image&mdash; if we don't have one for a saint of that daybe done correctly though, you can either upload one and use it, or substitute an image of our Lord, our Lady, or the Holy Trinity (such as please see [[httpOrthodoxWiki://www.orthodoxwiki.org/Image:Pantokrator_of_Sinai.jpg Image:Pantokrator of Sinai.jpgPhoto galleries]] or [http://www.orthodoxwiki.org/Image:Theotokos_of_Vladimir.jpg Image:Theotokos to get an idea of Vladimirwhat we're trying to accomplish.jpg] or [httpThanks! {{User:FrJohn//www.orthodoxwiki.org/Image:Rublev_Trinity.jpg Image:Rublev Trinity.jpg]). The template for [[Template:February 1]] should look like this:sig}}
<pre><nowiki><div style="float:right;margin-left:1em">Also see [[ImageOrthodoxWiki:Brigid.jpg|100pxImages for import|St. Brigid of KildaireImages for import]]</div>Martyr Tryphon of Syria; Martyr Perpetua of Carthage and her four companions; Basil the Confessor, archbishop of Thessalonika; New-martyr Anastasios of Anaplos; Venerable David and Simeon; Venerable . [[Brigid of KildaireUser:Joe Rodgers|Joe]]</nowiki></pre>2006-07-12
Everything about that formatting is vital to the scheme, including the list of saints right up next to that last <nowiki><== Link buttons ==We are looking for talented and/div></nowiki> tag, and the sizing of the image at 100px. Make sure ''not'' or motivated individuals to add in any other tags in the image create some nice linkbuttons for OrthodoxWiki. Also be sure to make the list of saints one continuous line '''without line breaks''' (Other design suggestions are also encouraged. Visit the example above includes line breaks so that it can be easily readable on this page)[[OrthodoxWiki:Community Portal|Community Portal]] for current offerings.
Another thing to keep in mind is that we're not likely to create an article for every saint on the calendar == Church Calendar ==See [[OrthodoxWiki:Style Manual (though that would be great!Church Calendar). As such, you may only want to make links for |Style Manual]] regarding the saints and feasts you think are most likely tremendous amount of work that needs to have articles be done on OrthodoxWiki.the [[Church Calendar]]
If there are also historical events which occur on that day which are not strictly feasts, you may include them by finishing the list of feasts with == Evangelicalism ==Friends - today I started an article about [[evangelicalism]]. There is a period, then following it immediately with:<pre><nowiki>''lot'Other events:'''</nowiki></pre>Then immediately list that still needs to be added. Please feel free to help out with this article. What is most needed, I think, is the events in the same manner the feasts are listedsection on Orthodox responses to evangelical positions.- [[User:Joffridus|Geoff]]
Thanks == [[Introduction to Orthodox Christianity]] ==Please make some suggestions at the [[Template_talk:Orthodoxchristianity|Talk page]] for your help! As of this writing, the upcoming [[February 1Template:Orthodoxchristianity|series]] through on an [[February 11Introduction to Orthodox Christianity]] have all been brought into conformity with the new scheme.
--== Witnessing Orthodoxy ==I just wrote [[User:ASDamickWitness|Rdr. Andrewthis article on witnessing Orthodoxy]] 06. I need the help of people experienced/educated in witnessing the Orthodox faith to non and ex believers to help make this into a very informative article. I have posted up a very rough work that I wanted to suggest basing this on at [http:41//orthodoxwitness.wikispaces.org/], 3 Feb 2005 (CST)please feel free to use that if you wish.
==EvangelicalismVestments ==Friends - today We need someone(s) to donate some time to taking pictures of the various [[vestments]] used. I started an article about evangelicalismthink it would be good to show what they look like when they are not in use and when they are in use. There is Now that I am on the topic, why not dedicate a ''lot'' that still needs month to be added. Please feel free to help out with this articlea particular topic or category for picture farming. What is most needed, I thinkFor instance, is all of us could take pictures of vestments and their use in the section on Orthodox responses month of January. In February we could all take pictures of our church's icons. March could be dedicated to evangelical positionsblah, etc. - Just a thought [[User:JoffridusJoe Rodgers|GeoffJoe]]
==Old Calendar Greek Orthodox==
Can anyone tell me about the '''"CHRISTIAN ORTHODOX CHURCH OF HELLAS OF THE ORIGINAL GREEK ORTHODOX CHURCH"''' ? Thank you. And, sorry it is a mouthful. My specific interest relates to Archbishop MAXIMUS who, in November 2003 in Athens, consecrated HENRY PAUL KONTOR as a metropolitan bishop on behalf of the Holy Synod of the COCHOGOC -- according to the website of Apostolic Congress of Great Britain. I understand that the COCHOGOC is (was ?) an Old Calendar church. From [[User:Diakonias|Diakonias]] 12:46, January 29, 2014 (PST). Posted on January 29, 2014.

UPDATE: I think that (by further searching on the Web) I have now answered my own question. It seems that this Maximus or Maximos is Maximos Valliantos, sometime metropolitan of Kefalonia (Cephalonia) who on 7th January 1995 became leader of the tiny "Auxentian" old calendar Greek Orthodox jurisdiction, in succession to Auxentios Pastras who had died (reposed) in 1995. Auxentios Patras was leader of the "Florinite" old calendarists. The "Auxentians" are those who remained loyal to Auxentios after he was deposed in 1986. There is a page on Orthodoxwiki called "Auxentios synod". From [[User:Diakonias|Diakonias]] 14.1:14, October 4, 2014
