==Life==Risto Jääskeläinen was ordained monkborn [[August 10]], named Ambrose1945, hierodeacon and hieromonk in 1979 as a member of the brotherhood of the New Valaam Monastery Tohmajärvi in Heinävesi. At the New Valaam Monastery Ambrose was appointed the caretaker of economical business in 1977. In 1986 he recieved the title of archimandrite from the Archbishop Paul of Finland, and from 1986 to 1988 fr. Ambrose was the right hand of the heigumen of the Monastery, Archimandrite Panteleimon (nowadays His Beatitude the Most Reverend Metropolitan Panteleimon of Oulu).

At New Valaam, Fr. Ambrose was appointed the [[monastery]]'s financial caretaker in 1977. In 1986, he received the title of directors [[archimandrite]] from [[Archbishop]] Paul of Tulikivi CorpFinland, and from 1986 to 1988 Fr. and an important member Ambrose was the right hand man of the local Masonic Lodgemonastery's [[igumen]], Archimandrite Panteleimon (now His Eminence the Most Reverend Metropolitan [[Panteleimon (Sarho) of Oulu]]).
In 1988, Fr. Ambrose was elected to be [[Bishop]] of Joensuu and [[consecration of a bishop|consecrated]] to this [[see]] by Archbishop [[John (Rinne) of Nicea|John (Rinne)]] of Finland, Metropolitan Tikhon of Helsinki, and Metropolitan [[Leo (Makkonen) of Finland|Leo]] of Oulu. Bp.
