Hi Marzata,

On another note, I'm thrilled to have an article about Antarctica. We shouldn't "hotlink" the images though -- if legal, please upload them here and mark them with the appropriate license/permission. (If it's not legal, we shouldn't have them on here anyway). There are a number of reasons for this -- the flexibility we have in managing and tagging images, the assurance that they won't just disappear one day, etc. Thanks. {{User:FrJohn/sig}}

Welcome to OrthodoxWiki!

Hello, Marzata, and welcome to OrthodoxWiki!

Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Please note that OrthodoxWiki is always in development, so not everything works quite right yet. You can help, though!

OrthodoxWiki is a community-edited encyclopedia of Orthodox Christianity. Articles are created and edited by our members, and so everything that we do here is subject to review and revision. The result is a true consensus product, with every interested editor contributing his own knowledge and writing skills. As such, when you feel that criticism of an article is warranted, we encourage you to join in and fix it! Don't worry about breaking anything or doing something wrong—the other editors here are happy to jump in and help you learn.

Email

Hi Marzata,

I took your email address off of this page so that you don't get spam -- anytime an email is publically posted, you WILL be spammed. Every user who has provided their email at signup has an "Email this User" link on the sidebar next to their user page -- this is a way for people to contact you directly. Notifications are also sent when someone leaves a note on your user page (acc. to your "Preferences" settings). Hope that helps, and welcome aboard! — FrJohn (talk)

No problem for the spam but thank you! --Marzata 13:41, January 7, 2006 (CST)

Saints

Hi again,

You can add saints by going to the page for the date, for example January 7. This will show up automatically on the front page when it's time comes due. Please note that right now, OrthodoxWiki is using the dates for the Revised Julian (NEW) Calendar, and some adjustment may be required. Please also check to see if there is variation in the celebration in the different local traditions. If there is, please note anything interesting on the discussion page attached to the date. Thanks for your help! I'm glad to see some Bulgarian contributions here!

Thank you but I meant to create on the front page a category for Bulgarian saints. How to? --Marzata 19:16, January 7, 2006 (CST)

Currently I don't know that we have any pages of Bulgarian saints. If you would like to start a page for one, please, go ahead! (See Help:How to create a new page or ask a sysop if you need help.) Add [[Category:Bulgarian Saints]] at the end of the article, and once we have a couple of those pages, we can add a link to the category to the main page. —magda (talk) 19:49, January 7, 2006 (CST)
