I am currently in the process of expanding my comprehension, but at the moment it would not be sufficient for such an undertaking. What I've been trying to do here is take the Greek Language Wikipedia and rin it through Altavista's Babelfish webpage translator to provide a very basic and broken translation, then try to reassemble it into coherent English. Aided by my trusty Oxford Greek-English dictionary (and other assorted language texts), my father (who is fluent but not literate), my ongoing Greek lessons, and what I know of Byzantine history (for historical place names/Metropolises), I am able to extract enough information from the Greek articles to create understandable English ones. However, in the future, as my mastery of the language grows I would gladly like to help establish the Greek language OrthoWiki. [[User:Hellenica|Hellenica]] 13:03, November 30, 2006 (PST)

:Ok, I have a question since I'm horrible with the wiki mark-up and technical skills in general. On my user page, I've added three of the orthoboxes, which appear slightly to the left, as well as two language boxes and the one sysop box that I copied from Pistevo, all to the right. This would look great if they were aligned correctly, but the latter three to the right, for some reason, are a little below the ones to the left. How do I fix this? /Welcome

Emperors and Patriarchs

Helleica, just wanted to say that your plan sounds great. It would definitely be helpful to beef up the historical sections of the site. I'll try to leave comments on the articles you're editing to help you get the hang of the process and style. We're glad to have you onboard. — FrJohn (talk)

Vandalism 10Sep06

In reality, there wasn't much more you could have done - these sysopowers make life a lot easier (with blocking, IP blocks and rollbacks). Actually, you did especially well with the blank image upload - I wouldn't have thought of that! — edited by Pιsτévο talk complaints at 21:55, September 9, 2006 (CDT)

Thanks, I try =) Hellenica 22:17, September 9, 2006 (CDT)

Greek language OrthodoxWiki?

From some of your edits, I am guessing that you're a Hellenophone. Any chance you'd be interested in a Greek language OrthodoxWiki? (I couldn't help, since I only have rudimentary knowledge of Greek.) No doubt FrJohn could start it for you. —Fr. Andrew talk contribs 12:27, November 29, 2006 (PST)

I would indeed, but sadly my level of Greek is likely little better than yours. Hellenica 13:03, November 30, 2006 (PST)

Language and Orthoboxes

Hi Hellenica, Thanks for all your work on the box templates! — FrJohn (talk)

Ok, I have a question since I'm horrible with the wiki mark-up and technical skills in general. Thanks. --Gabriela 20:45, December 2, 2006 (PST)
I too, am miserable with wiki mark-up -- what I do know I learn by imitation and reading a lot of Wikipedia help pages. I've done some tinkering for you in my "Workshop". Just copy the source of whichever one best suits your page. I hope it's helpful! Let me know if there's anything else you need. Hellenica 21:05, December 2, 2006 (PST)
Actually, on this page I've integrated it with your userpage source code. Hopefully it is the look you were trying to achieve. I've simplified the markup a great deal. Also, sorry about the Antiochan/Antiochian misspelling. Hellenica 21:10, December 2, 2006 (PST)
That's perfect! Thank you so much. The simplified version looks a lot easier to use. Gabriela 20:26, December 3, 2006 (PST)
Hellenica, I ported over from Wikipedia a set of Serbian language templates and some sub-templates used by the User_lang_subcat template. Also, I have been adding existing templates into the Category, Language_user_templates. Hope that this does not mess up what you are doing. - Andrew 11:53, June 22, 2007 (PDT)

Alas, I wish I could take credit for the scoop! But if you look at the article's history, you will see that it is Iliana who updated the article to include his elevation. I simply edited the additions a little. —Fr. Andrew talk contribs 13:08, April 1, 2007 (PDT)
