New Server (Nov 15)
Great news about the new server Fr John! :)
I did notice that a bug while uploading an image file - the image does not show, even though it was only 79kb small. Thought i would mention it. Cheers, Angellight 888 05:17, November 19, 2011 (HST)
:Thanks! It was long overdue. This bug should be fixed now. — <b>FrJohn</b> (talk) 09:47, November 19, 2011 (HST)

Father John, bless! I sent two emails, one to info@orthodoxwiki.org and another to frjohn@stjuvenaly.org, but i haven't received your reply. It's about OrthodoxWiki in portuguese. I wanna say that we (my friends and I) can start translating what is needed. Please, i look forward to your response! -- SerafimBR 10:41, October 11, 2012 (HST)

Directory
Hi Fr John, I'm looking for responses for my proposal (to delete the parish directory pages for Australia) on http://orthodoxwiki.org/OrthodoxWiki:Administrators#Eliminating_directory_articles - your thoughts? &mdash; by <font color="green">Pιs</font><font color="gold">τévο</font> <font color="blue">talk</font> <font color="red">complaints</font> at 19:15, January 31, 2013 (HST)

deleting the pages of Greek Orthodox Church listings in Australia by PISTEVO
Hi Fr John,

We have noticed that the Australian orthodox pages have become very biased and not right. It seems that sysops such as Pistevo are deleting and replacing pages to suit others and there own agendas. Please dont allow this as it is not fair. These pages should be informative and state facts. The listings of the Greek Orthodox Churches should have clear classifications of Parishes with the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese, Parishes of Old Calender Greek Churches etc, regardless if they are in 'communion' with 'official churches' or not. Pistevo should not be able to delete the whole page and replace it with a link to ONLY the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of Australia. Even up to now, the official position eg of when the OCA churches was in Australia is that According to Archbishop Stylianos and the Archdiocese-they were and are uncanonical. Does that mean they should not of been included in the list of Orthodox Churches in Australia then? The same with the Russian Church Abroad, up to two years ago. Please find the message below i posted to Pistevo.

Dear Pistevo
Deleting it is NOT RIGHT OR PROPER. There are now Greek Orthodox churches which are recognised by the GREEK GOVERNEMENT as they are under recognised Old Calender Synods. REGARDLESS if they are recognised or not by the "official" other churches or even if they are branded schismatic, this page STATES 'GREEK ORTHODOX CHURCHES', and they are all still GREEK ORTHODOX CHURCHES. These are the FACTS. The Greek Orthodox Archdiocese is NOT the only greek orthodox churches in Australia! FILOIGIAPANTA

:Fr John: My response to Filiogiapanta's message is on the Talk:Greek Orthodox Churches in New South Wales page. I can respond further (e.g. regarding the claim about OCA-AU parishes) if you request. &mdash; by <font color="green">Pιs</font><font color="gold">τévο</font> <font color="blue">talk</font> <font color="red">complaints</font> at 14:28, February 3, 2013 (HST)

Fr John, it is not proper to change the page as PISTEVO did.
Pistevo you said wiki is not a Parish listing and I agree, yet why did you add the listing of the Greek Orthodox archdiocese here http://orthodoxwiki.org/Greek_Orthodox_Churches_in_New_South_Wales. It is a direct link to their parish directory. We would also like you therefore to add the site www.orthodoxchurch.org.au, to not be biased, and other Greek orthodox sites of Australia-regardless if they are old calenderists- not in communion with 'official churches'. Dont you think?

:Fr John - I apologise for responding to someone else on your talk page.
:Filoigiapanta - I do not because, as I stated, OrthodoxWiki has a bias. Additionally, please direct all messages to me either to the article's talk page, or (if necessary) to my own Talk page. I'll not post any further responses to messages from you to me on this page. &mdash; by <font color="green">Pιs</font><font color="gold">τévο</font> <font color="blue">talk</font> <font color="red">complaints</font> at 15:10, February 3, 2013 (HST)

Lingua Latina
Greetings Fr. John, I thought that making a Latinized version of OrthodoxWiki wouldn't be a bad idea. I'm very good at Latin and I would just like to know how I could do that? -ShenLazar 10:51, July 20, 2013 (HST)

:Hi Shen, sorry for my delay in replying. I'm not so sure about Latin -- seems like it would be very hard to sustain. I don't think it would provide the user base needed. — <b>FrJohn</b> (talk) 12:07, July 31, 2013 (HST)

Hi Fr. John, I don't know why I didn't think about this before, but since there is a Church of Albania, it would only be fitting for there to be an Akbanian OrthodoxWiki.

::I'd be happy to see an Albanian wiki, but we'd need the right people in place to make it happen. Thanks! — <b>FrJohn</b> (talk) 10:33, August 9, 2013 (HST)

Request for Additional Content on the Divine Liturgies of St. Mark and St. James
I would very much like to see links to videos of these liturgies being celebrated in the seminaries, or in actual parishes in the Alexandria and Jerusalem patriarchates, if any such videos exist. I have read the rubrics for the Divine Liturgy of St. Mark. Regarding that of St. James (aside from the Syriac version, which I have viewed), contrary information exists; my local parish priest has told me that it requires three priests and one bishop, and could be celebrated using a normal holy table behind the Iconostasis, but the another article I came across on the Net (I believe the Wikipedia article) indicated it required 12 priests and one Bishop, or 13 Priests, and a Western-style open altar in front of the Iconostasis. Given the obscurity of these two liturgies, and the interest they hold for many Orthodox who like me are liturgical enthusiasts, it would be delightful if a priest who has personal knowledge of these liturgies could provide more details on them, or better yet, a link to audio or video recordings. I have searched fruitlessly for these on Youtube, without success.
