I am a retired British academic. I wrote the book 'Pantokrator: an introduction to Orthodoxy' (published by Cambridge Scholars Press) and I am a regular visitor to the Holy Mountain. Although my closest association is with the monastery of Pantokrator, I have also been to most of the other Athonite monasteries, beginning with my first visit to the Holy Mountain in 1985.
