Professional background: Retired academic (previously employed as university research fellow); higher education qualifications in: mathematics, statistics, computer science, geology, palaeontology, and German; several published research papers.

Retirement interests: Russian language (particularly Church Slavonic); Russian icons (iconography, history and art); Translation and interpretation of Church Slavonic inscriptions on Russian and other slavonic Orthodox icons.

I am particularly interested in Orthodox Wiki as source by which I can improve my knowledge of Orthodoxy and Church Slavonic.
