Other interests include:
history, historical preservation, cultural geography, intentional community, sustainable living, cohousing, voluntary simplicity, fair trade, agrarianism, alternative energy, off-grid homesteading, homeschooling, nature study, hiking, gardening, ethno-botany, ayurvedic & health whole food, animal husbandry (especially goats).
But my greatest interest is in synthesizing all these interests toward development of a distinctly modern Orthodox Christian lifestyle and “new world” culture, inspired by “sobornopravanist” – the local agrarian community as the center of Orthodox church life as manifestated on Mt.Athos, in Old Russia and during the middle ages in Western Europe.
