I learned icon painting from my father. Later, I assisted him on several church projects. I am also trained in the art school and completed BA in Art History. For my projects for the Greek Orthodox Parish in Berlin, I received a special recognition and blessing by the Greek Orthodox staretz Fr Theodore [Petrovski]. In 1989, I was honored by the entry and article in the official Berlin Book. In 1994, I spent two months at the Russian Holy Trinity Monastery, Jordanville, NY and received the blessing by father Kiprian, one of the greatest icon painters and icon-writing teachers in America. A few years later, I settled with my family in the village of Jordanville and painted icons. After eight years of harsh northern winters, we moved south to the mild Virginia. In 2006, my icons were exhibited at the Globe, Petersburg, VA.
