His Grace Eminence the Right Most Reverend '''Tikhon (Troitsky) of San Francisco''' was a the [[diocese|diocesanROCOR]] [[Archbishop]] of San Francisco and Western America during the 1940s to the 1960s. He was one of the [[bishop]] s who remained with the [[ROCOR]] during the [[schism]] with the [[OCA|Russian-American Metropolia]] in 1946. The American bishops voted four out of nine to leave the ROCOR at the [[Russian Orthodox All-American Sobor#Seventh All-American Sobor|Cleveland Sobor]]. Five remained with the Church Outside RussiaAbroad, four left to head the independent Metropolia. Tikhon was succeeded in the [[see]] of San Francisco by St. [[John Maximovitch]] in 1962. He is buried at [[Holy Trinity Monastery (ROCORJordanville, New York)]].
