His Grace Tikhon (Fitzgerald) Bishop of San Francisco, Los Angeles and the West, was the bishop of the Diocese of the West of the Orthodox Church in America from 1987 to 2007. He is presently retired and living in Los Angeles.

He was born Stephen Fitzgerald in Detroit, Michigan, on November 14, 1932. He was raised in the Lutheran church and was accepted into the Orthodox Church through chrismation in 1960.

Bishop Dmitri ordained him to the Holy Diaconate in December 1971 at St. Nicholas Orthodox Cathedral, Washington, D.C. Bishop Gregory of Alaska ordained him to the Holy Priesthood in 1978. The Holy Synod elevated him to the rank of Archpriest in 1982. He was a clergyman of vast pastoral experience, serving in a number of parishes.
