Theotokonomya (Gr. Θεοτοκονύμια) is the category of defining the various names given to the Virgin Mary. There are over 6,000 of these names attributed to the Theotokos. Most of these have been received through a vision such as the appearance of the Virgin to a saint in the Orthodox church but there are a variety of other reasons for her names.

The following list defines these names in alphabetical order:

  • Lady of the Source (Ζωοδόχος Πηγή);
  • The Great Lady (Μεγάλη Παναγία Πάτμος) of Patmos
