Theodora of Arta

The life of the holy empress, St. Theodora of Arta and all Epiros, was the wife of Michael II Komnenos Doukas (reigned 1231 - 1267-68). She is commemorated by the Church on March 11.
Life
Theodora was born Theodora Dukaina Petraliphaina. She married Michael II Komnenos and through this marriage had several children, including:
- Anna (Agnes) Komnene Doukaina, who married (1) Prince William II #Villehardouin of Achaea and (2) Nicholas II of St Omer, lord of Thebes.
