Either you have the full text, even though some parishes abbreviate it, or you have an abbreviated text that differs from other abbreviations and the full text; and then there is the whole question of translations... and on that there is not uniformity. And other than mentioning that these psalms are used in typika as well as in the liturgy, there is no reason to go into detail about the typika service. It might be worth pointing out that even the Byzantine antiphons take verses from these psalms, when it is not a feast. | ||

Typical Psalms
I personally don't agree with merging the article on the Typical Psalms with Typika... because the Typical Psalms are normally the first three antiphons in the Liturgy, according to the Slavic and Pre-Violakes Typikons. They are only part of Typika when there is no liturgy. If someone finds a reference to the Typical Psalms in reference to the Liturgy, and comes to Orthodoxwiki looking for more information, and then ends up on the Typika page, I think they will just end up confused.
