:Right, St. Andrew wrote the Troparia for St. Mary, but that's not hagiography. Hagiography is, from my understanding, the written life of a saint, which, in this case, was written by St. Sophronius—at least, from every indication I've seen. ::Hi, you might be right about the Hagiography, I am not qualified to answet that, however, just from my growth in the orthodox church I have come to understand that the words in Liturgical services are accepted as inspired by God. As such, when I here Troparia or Kontakia or poems written about Saints and accepted by the Holy Spirit into the liturgical worship of the church - I see the information as factual. So forgive my explanation above .. to me, if its in the Canon its equal to Hagiography in its describing the life of the Saint! [[User:Ixthis888|Vasiliki]] 23:59, April 7, 2009 (UTC)
