Icon / Identification
The icon for "Constantine of Govan" apparently refers to Constantine of Cornwall. Both of the following accounts in Orthodox sources mention that he founded the monastery at Govan (rather than Constantine of Strathclyde). Also, the icon seems to show a martyrdom in one scene, which would be referencing Constantine of Cornwall.
- Archdiocese of Thyateira and Great Britain. Constantine of Scotland - King & Martyr. Feast day: March 11 (+576).
- Vladimir Moss. MARTYR CONSTANTINE OF CORNWALL. St. Nicholas Russian Orthodox Church (McKinney (Dallas area) Texas).
