While I am confident that the early and authentic tradition of our Church is opposed to capital punishment, I am sad to say that there is more than one position on this issue today. Moreover, I do object to editorials posing as encyclopedia articles. --[[User:Fr Lev|Fr Lev]] 07:10, February 27, 2007 (PST)

:Honestly, my personal opinion on this issue has vacillated over time, and I'm now open to persuasion either way, so I'm not objecting to the content. Kind of makes you wish we still had ecumenical councils, doesn't it? My main objection is just that it seems strange for the intro and conclusion sections to say that there's no single Church position and the middle to assert a very definite position. Maybe I'll clean up the new section and try to make it cohere better. [[User:Gabriela|Gabriela]] 20:36, February 27, 2007 (PST)
