Archangels in the Celestial Hierarchy?

As you may know, Archangels are the next to lowest order in the Celestial Hierarchies. They are number eight our of nine. Does any one know if the word archangel has two meanings, one being the eighth order and the other being literally something like the highest angels. The article as it is written seems to conflate the "Four Archangels" with the Cherubim. Is there a way to clear up this confusion?

Linking all the various names for each of these archangels seems to suggest that we should have separate articles for each variant. Is that really necessary? —Dcn. Andrew talk random contribs 15:01, May 30, 2006 (CDT)

(In other words : "Is this trip really necessary ?"). The answer is : No, Heaven forbid ! By doing this I just wanted to bring somehow in evidence their synoyms. (For instance -maybe that's not just the best example-, I was aware of Gudiil, but it took me quite a moment to figure out who exactly Jehudiel was ... ). And putting them in bold or in italics didn't seem (at all) as such a good ideea.

I have no problem with listing them, but it seems that making separate articles for each variant is redundant. Perhaps just a list of the names without links would be best. —Dcn. Andrew talk random contribs 19:55, May 30, 2006 (CDT)

... and they were so pretty in red ... :(
