He began attending Christ the Saviour from 1990 where he sang in the choir and served as a Reader for many years. Obeying the call to priestly service, Fr. Nicholas began theological studies at St. Tikhon Theological Seminary and graduated with a Masters in Divinity with distinction three years later.

Fr. Nicholas was ordained to the deaconate by Metropolitan Herman in May 2006 and to the Holy Priesthood by then-Bishop Seraphim in October 2006. Currently, Fr. Nicholas is the priest in charge at St. Nicholas of Myra Orthodox Mission, which, blessed by His Eminence Archbishop Seraphim, celebrated its first Divine Liturgy on November 12th 2006.

While studying at St. Tikhon’s, Fr. Nicholas Young met Liudmila Novikova who was a Sister of Mercy from Martha and Mary Convent in Moscow. The two were married on the 25th of September 2005 in St. Tikhon of Zadonsk Monastary Church. Fr. Nicholas and Matushka Liudmila invite you to join us at St. Nicholas of Myra Orthodox Mission!
