==Ukrainian version== Dear FatherYou're probably still working on this, but it looks like the changes I thought made to start Ukrainian versionpages this morning were lost. How can I do that? I work with articles related to Orthodoxy on Ukrainian wikipedia. --Roman Z 21:38, March 12 A couple of them were minor, 2009 (UTC) ==Orthodox Source==Hi father john, it is with much sadness and hurt that but I see you close down Orthodox Source. Mainly because I invested did a huge amount significant wikification/edit of time to put information onto that site that took a lot one of my time and I dont have access to any more. I am a bit saddened because you didnt even give me some notice that you were going to close the site down so that I could at least download some pages Bulgarian Eastern Orthodox Diocese of the information onto my personal computer that I can access in the future ..USA, Canada and Australia. a bit disappointed that this was not considered and an opportunity given to do Any chance thiscan be restored? (P. It only proves that the Internet is not a very viable Christian toolS. Thank you for all your hard work!) : Hi! Thanksfor all your work. The wiki was long overdue for an upgrade (c.f. news )... I tried first running 1.27,and then 1.26. Turns out that hitcounters were removed] from core in MW 1.26, so I've moved the site back to 1.25 and added the HitCounter extension, so we should be ok moving forward. Let me see what I can do about recovering those edits. (It was a question of reverting before many edits were made or losing the hitcounter history, going back to 2004...) — FrJohn (talk) 18:10, May 11, 2016 (UTC) — FrJohn (talk) 18:10, May 11, 2016 (UTC): ...and please do let me know if you see any other issues.::No problem! :) I'm just kind of noticing the differences. I got a whole bunch of server errors for a couple minutes there, but I'm sure that was from the upgrade (I don't get them anymore either). I am determined to get the counter on the front page to 4900 (and hopefully beyond that!)Isaak Scott Cairns:::How does this look?::::Awesome! == Hymns Hello Father John,I have created a page on the Nuns of Contrition ==Shamordino of Solovki Prison and Vorkuta Gulag. I would like to submit it for publication. How can I do that once the page has been created in Sandbox?
Father John, I bought a CD last night that in Greek is called "Kataniktika of Great lent". So, I set about doing a google today to find out just what are these hymns (although I understand the words). Many articles come up but they are primarily from the Catholic church and are seven Psalms ... these do not seem to be the format of the kataniktiko service. Can you help me. What are the Kataniktika of Great Lent? I want to post an article onto OrthodoxWiki for others to reference too.!! Thanks in advancevery much. :O man, these Greek terms -- best ask a Byzantine-style cantor, I think. Anyone around here? — FrJohnRelic67 ([http[User talk://orthodoxwiki.org/index.php?title=User_talk:FrJohn&action=edit&section=new Relic67|talk]]) 18:14, August 13, 2016 (UTC)
::Триоди в Воскресенья - the CD translates the "Kataniktika" as the "Hymns of Contrition". HoweverSorry, if you do a google on that term it comes up with the Catholic version of Hymns of Contrition - which are not the sameFather! Oi! What is wrong with I had forgotten to leave my contact details using the Greek terms? The church lasted 2,000 years because of the beauty in the Greek language :-) Do you want us to convert everything to Russian so four tildes. Hope you can understand? LOL ANYWAY! You are a priest - answer my question now. Thank you should know what these are! ROFL . ::: The Katanyktikoi Hymnoi (it helps to use standard Latinization for Greek!) may be called the "Hymns of Contrition" or "Penitential Hymns," and the term refers to a wide set of pieces of hymnography used throughout the period of the Triodion, most especially in the stichera of Lenten Vespers (most often referenced in Sunday night Vespers)== Ro.
