Nicholas Saiama
The website of Church of Japan suggested the see in Kyoto has been vacant for many years. After Bp. Sergey, described as "first appointed nominally to Bishop of Kyoto, there is no mention to its bishops but a list of priest appointed to Kyoto is provided. It could be referred as "vacant"? --Cat68 22:33, February 17, 2007 (PST)

I removed the note concerning Abp. Nicholas quoted here: <!-- c/o, since the OCJ page doesn't refer him; Saiama could be "Sayama", if so, it should refer Archbishop Sayama-sama (I don't know how to address properly in English, who was Archbishop of Podovorie, now retired and in St. Sophia Monastry in Chiba
* Nicholas (Saiama), Bishop of Kyoto and Western Japan -->

An article on Abp Nicholas Saiama is among the Bishop articles that is based on an article about his life on http://www.pravoslavie.ru/cgi-bin/sykon/client/display.pl?sid=773&did=2121.

His biography does not mention any title of Kyoto or Tokyo and other than attending the Tokyo Seminary does not seem to have had any direct association with the Church of Japan other than as Moscow's representative.Wsk 18:15, July 30, 2008 (UTC)
