Abp. Serge Konovaloff (Сергей Алексеевич Коновалов) was born on July 8, 1941, in Louvain, Belgium. He studied Germanic languages at the University of Louvain. He was married fathered three children, and was ordained a deacon in 1968 by Abp. [[Georges (Tarassoff) of Syracuse]] in Brussels and was elevated to the rank of [[protodeacon]] in 1976. He was ordained to the [[priest]]hood in 1980 by Bp. [[Georges (Wagner) of Evdokia]] and was elevated to [[archpriest]] in 1985.
After the death of his wife, he was [[tonsure]]d a [[monk]] in 1990. On [[June 8]] of that year, he was elected to be the successor of the late Abp. [[Georges (Wagner) of Evdokia]], receiving the title of ''Archbishop of Evkarpia''. He was [[consecration|consecrated]] [[bishop]] in Paris on [[June 27]], 1993. He died in Paris on [[January 22]], 2003.
