==Life==His parents were respectable and pious christians who raised Seraphim accordingly. From a young age, he had a calling to the monastic life. One tradition notes that his mother noted that he would not breastfeed on Wednesdays and on Fridays. Saint Seraphim As a child, he was an ascetic from educated in holy writing by the village teacher and this inspired a burning desire for him to pursue monasticism. He left the world early to pursue his ascetical vocation living in a cave at the area of Prophet Elias on Mount Dombos of Lebadeia Karkara. There he built a chapel dedicated to the Saviour and spent his time in Greeceascetism. 'Εκεί έλαμψε σαν πνευματικός αστέρας πρώτου μεγέθους και ο ηγούμενος τον έκανε μοναχό με το όνομα Σεραφείμ, και αργότερα τον χειροτόνησε Διάκονο και πρεσβύτερο. Για να αποφύγει όμως την φήμη των αρετών του, με την άδεια του ηγουμένου, έφυγε από εκείνο το Μοναστήρι και έφθασε δυτικά του Ελικώνα στην τοποθεσία Δόμου. Εκεί έκτισε ναό στο όνομα του Σωτήρος, καθώς επίσης και μερικά κελιά, μάζεψε μερικούς μοναχούς, με τους οποίους παρέμεινε εκεί για 10 χρόνια, κάνοντας έργα αρετής και διδάσκοντας τους μαθητές του τα σωτήρια διδάγματα της μοναδικής του Ευαγγελίου ζωής. Έτσι ασκητικά και όσια αφού έζησε, απεβίωσε ειρηνικά -αφού προείδε τον θάνατο του- στις 6 Μαΐου του 1602 ήμερα της Μεσοπεντηκοστής. Έζησε σύνολο 75 χρόνια. Λέγεται μάλιστα ότι έκανε και αρκετά θαύματα.
