It looks like the ''Homily on the Finding of the Cross'' was written by someone now identified as "Pseudo-Chrysostom." This homily was included in Erasmus' edition of Chrysostom in 1530. [http://www.peacemakers.net/peace/instb4c12.htm]
There are a few pages of this edition online ([http://www.ub.unibas.ch/kadmos/gg/hi/higg0399.htm ''D. Ioannis Chrysostomi Archiepiscopi Constantinopolitani Opera...''] Basel: Hieronymus Froben, Johannes Herwagen, Nicolaus Episcopius 1530 - Mai 1531. Fol. 4 Bde.), but they do not appear to include the homily.
St. [[John Chrysostom]]'s ''Homily 85'' does mention the finding of the cross:
"For since the wood of the cross was buried, because no one was careful to take it up, inasmuch as fear was pressing, and the believers were hurrying to other urgent matters; and since it was in after times to be sought for, and it was likely that the three crosses would lie together, in order that the Lord's might not be unknown, it was made manifest to all, first by its lying in the middle, and then by the title.
