Nikodemus I of Pec

Our father amont the saints Nikodim (Свети Никодим архиепископ српски) was archbishop of Peć from 1317 to 1326. This Holy Hierarch was relative of Saint king Stefan Uroš II Milutin Nemanjić. He was elected Archibishop on Ascension, May 12, 1317. When Saint Danilo gave up position of igumen of Hilandar, Nikodim, his disciple succeded him. When he was, as igumen, he in Constantinople he was atending Divine service who were serving Patriarchs of Antioch and Jerusalim acordin typikon of Saint Sabbas. He was impressed and when was elected he decide to translate this typikon in Serbian. This first complet typikon in Serbian church. He was very dedicated to cult of Saint Sava. He explined that he wants to continue legacy of St. Sava. St Nikodim died May 12 1324

He built church of Saint Demetrius in Pec Monastery. He was good and capable hyerarch. He was canonised in last decad of XIV century. Bishop Marko wrote Service to Saint Nikodim
