Changes

Nikiforos (Athanassios Archagelidis) was born in 1931 in Feres, Evros in Greek Thrace. He received his theological education at the Aristotle University of Thessalonica and the [[Theological School of Halki]]. Upon his entry to the [[Holy Orders]] he received the name Nikiforos. He was elected to the episcopacy and [[consecration of a bishop|consecrated]] Metropolitan of Didymotichon, Orestias and Soufli in 1988. Metr. Nikiforos reposed on [[October 4]], 2009 and was succeeded by Metr. Damaskinos (Karpathakis) in 2009.[http://www.oki-regensburg.de/verst_09.htm]
