On [[May 31]], 2010, Fr. Nestor was elected by the Holy Synod of the [[Church of Russia]] to be a vicar bishop of the Korsun Diocese with the title of Bishop of Kaffa. On [[August 28]], 2010, His Holiness Patriarch [[Kyrill I (Gundyayev) of Moscow|Kirill of Moscow]] and All Russia raised him to the rank of [[archimandrite]].
On [[September 6]], 2010, in the [[Cathedral of Christ the Saviour (Moscow)|Cathedral of Christ the Savior]] in Moscow, Russia, His Holiness Kirill of Moscow and All Russia, and His Holiness [[Theodoros II (Choreftakis) of Alexandria|Theodore II of Alexandria]] presided over the [[consecration of a bishop|consecration]] of Archimandrite Nestor as Bishop Nestor of Kaffa, to serve in Western Europe as Bishop of Kaffa, a [[vicar ]] of the Diocese of Korsun.
On [[December 24]], 2010, [[Holy Synod ]] of the Church of Russia appointed Bp. Nestor the new head of the Diocese of Korsun. The diocese holds [[jurisdiction ]] over the parishes [[parish]]es of the Moscow Patriarchate in Italy, Spain, France, and Switzerland. Bp. Nestor succeeds Abp. Innocenty Innocent who has been was transferred to the [[see]] of Lithuania as Metropolitan Archbishop of Vilna Vilnius and Lithuania.
