His Eminence Nathaniel (Diakopanagiotis) of Kos and Nisyros is the metropolitan of the Metropolis of Kos and Nisyros, under the jurisdiction of the Church of Constantinople. He has been the ruling hierarch since 2009.

Life

After his election to the episcopate by the Holy Synod of the Ecumenical Patriarchate, Metr. Nathanael was consecrated as Metropolitan of the Metropolis of Kos and Nisyros on March 6, 2009. His consecration, that took place in Istanbul (Constantinople), was celebrated by His All-Holiness Patriarch Bartholomew concelebrating with Metropolitans Germanos of Theodoroupolis, Ambrosios of Carpathos and Cassos, Kyrillos of Imbros and Tenedos, Michael of Austria, Alexis of Atlanta, Iakovos of the Princes Islands, Joseph of Prikonissos, Meliton of Philadelphia, Dimitrios of Sevastia and Ioan of Ochrid and Skopje.
