Convent of St. Silouan is a monastic community for women in Boscobel, Wisconsin , on the same property as St. Isaac of Syria Skete.
The community was founded in August 1991, under the auspices of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia (ROCOR), and became a sister monastery to the St. Isaac of Syria Skete. Presently the sisterhood is located at St . Nicholas Orthodox Mission Church, but are looking to obtain their own property.
In 1999 St. Isaac of Syria Skete returned their antimens to ROCOR. A short while later the skete, including St. Silouan, joined the Bulgarian Eastern Orthodox Diocese of the USA, Canada and Australia.
In 2009 the abbot of the skete, Simeon Gitlis, was deposed by the Bulgarians, and they also withdrew their antimens. The community of St. Silouan is currently without a bishop.
The community works at St. Isaac's Bookstore, the mission, the school , and the library.
