The '''Holy Monastery of [[Panagia Gorgoepikoos]]''' ("She who is Quick to Hear") is a [[monasticism|monastic]] community for [[nun|women]] under in the [[Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of Australia]]. The monastery is located in Lovely Banks, Geelong, Victoria, and was established under the in May 1993. The [[abbess]] is Mother Kallistheni. The monastery celebrates its main feast day on [[omophorionOctober 1]] . It also celebrates the feast of His Eminence St. [[ArchbishopSeraphim of Sarov]] ([[Stylianos (Harkianakis) of Australia|Stylianos of AustraliaJanuary 2]] in May 1993 by ) and St. [[Kallistheni George (ZantisKarslidis)of Drama|Mother KallistheniGeorge of Drama]], who remains the ([[abbessNovember 4]]. Currently, the monastery has 4 nuns (Sisters Makrina, Nikodimi, and Natalia, and the abbess, Mother Kallistheni) and a novice, all of whom speak fluent English.
The monastery is situated approximately one hour, by car, from Melbourne and is close to the seaside suburb ==History of Geelong. Initially the Monastery stood on 17 acres of land but recent land purchases have allowed for growth extending the property size to 20 acres. To create privacy for The monastery takes its name from the monastery[[icon]] of [[Panagia Gorgoepikoos]], Cox Road, running outside which is commemmorated [[October 1]]. This is one of the best known miraculous icons of the monasteryHoly Mountain, has recently been closed off&mdash;an initiative instigated by Mother Kallisthenilocated at [[Dochiariou Monastery (Athos)|Docheiariou Monastery]].
