(Dahulich) of New York''', Ph.D., is a diocesan [[priestbishop]] in of the [[Orthodox Church in America]] and bishop-elect of , leading the [[Diocese of New York and New Jersey (OCA)|Diocese of New York and New Jersey]]. He is currently dean of [[St. Tikhon's Orthodox Theological Seminary (South Canaan, Pennsylvania)|St. Tikhon's Orthodox Theological Seminary]] in South Canaan, Pennsylvania. He also serves there as Associate Professor of New Testament and Ethics.
FrBp. Michael entered the [[clergy]] through the [[American Carpatho-Russian Orthodox Diocese|Carpatho-Russian Diocese]], being [[ordination|ordained]] to the priesthood by Bishop [[John (Martin) of Nyssa|John (Martin)]] in 1973. He served as Vice-[[Chancellor ]] and as secretary to two [[bishop]]s. He also was Director of Religious Education of the Johnstown deanery and taught at the [[Christ the Saviour Seminary (Johnstown, Pennsylvania)|Christ the Saviour Seminary]].
FrBp. Michael joined the faculty of [[St. Tikhon's Orthodox Theological Seminary (South Canaan, Pennsylvania)|St. Tikhon's Orthodox Theological Seminary]] in South Canaan in 1994.
FrBp. Michael earned a B.Th. in Theology from Christ the Saviour Seminary in Johnstown, Pennsylvania; a B.A. in Philosophy from St. Vincent College in Latrobe, Pennsylvania; and an M.A. and Ph.D. in Theology from Duquesne University in Pittsburgh. He is also studying Business at Villanova University.
On [[September 22]], 2009, Fr. Michael he was elected as the [[bishop ]] of OCA's newly reconstituted Diocese of New York and New Jersey. On October 24 of that year, he was tonsured as [[tonsure]]d a monastic rassophore [[monk]] by Met. Jonah at [[St. Tikhon's Orthodox MOnastery Monastery (South Canaan, Pennsylvania)|St. Tikhon's Orthodox MOnasteryMonastery]]in preparation for his [[consecration of a bishop|consecration]] to the episcopacy. On May 8, 2010, he was consecrated to the episcopacy at Ss. Peter and Paul Orthodox Church in Jersey City, New Jersey, and was enthroned the following day at the Cathedral of the Holy Virgin Protection in New York City.
