The present Metropolis of Paramythia, Philiata, Geromerion, and Parga was established in 1895 by [[Anthimus VII (Tsatsos) of Constantinople|Patriarch Anthimus VII of Constantinople]], having previously been subordinate to the [[Metropolis of Ioannina]] as the bishop's [[see|seat]] of Paramythia since the late eighteenth century .

His Eminence Metropolitan [[Titus (Papanakos) of Paramythia|Titus (Papanakos) ]] was born in 1931 in Piraeus. He was elected [[bishop]] in 1974 and [[consecration of a bishop|consecrated]] Metropolitan of Paramythia, Philiata, Geromerion, and Parga on [[July 17]], 1974.
