The Metropolis of Filippoi, Neapolis and Thassos is part of the Church of Greece.

Ecclesiastical history

According to the Acts of the Apostles, the history is tracked back to the Apostle Paul and his disciples Silas, Timothy and Luke when they visited Neapolis and founded the first church in Filippoi around 50 AD. These events are narrated by the Evangelist Luke in the 16th Chapter.
