==Life==

Metr. Meletios was born in 1933 in Alagonia, Messinia in southwestern Peloponnese, Greece. After completing his theological education he was [[ordination|ordained]] in the [[Holy Orders]]. In 1980, he was elected to the episcopacy and [[consecration of a bishop|consecrated]] the Metropolitan of Nikopolis and Preveza on [[March 1]], 1980.
